FedEx peak surcharges impacting both Express and Ground services will go into effect on June 21st, 2021. Some of these are continuations of earlier surcharges while others are increased rates.
These peak surcharges are a result of the growing strain that increased package volume is putting on carriers. These rate increases allow FedEx to keep up with expected delivery timeframes while also scaling increased fleet maintenance and staffing demands.
