We particularly benefit from a more improved order and shipping management system. When one needs to check on a shipment status of an order, it is easy for one to search by recipient name, order number, or tracking number. Customer service is always very helpful and easily reached by phone with no long hold time if any.
We have just become a Seller Fulfilled Prime merchant for Amazon. With that role, we are required to buy our shipping through a portal via our seller central page on Amazon.com. Because ShippingEasy has already integrated with this program, we can easily purchase shipping through this integrated feature without having to log into Amazon.com, which is a slower process.
We were using a 3rd party software solution that was quite limited and slow. There was only one login and was very difficult to peruse through orders and shipment history. We switched from TrueShip. We were referred by one of our 3rd party logistics/freight forwarder vendor, APC Postal Logistics. The only reservation we had about migrating to ShippingEasy was getting the warehouse team acquainted with the new software.
Although the transition process at first might seem daunting, it is rather easy. The software has integration capabilities with all major commercial carrier services and e-commerce sites (such as Amazon, Ebay, Sears, Rakuten, NewEgg, and more). The software is fast and downtime is usually for maintenance only, not for technical failures. We particularly enjoy the feature that allows us to create custom shipping profiles. For instance, we can create a profile for all domestic residential destinations with shipments valued more than $250. The said profile would identify the exact shipping provider, type of service and automatically include insurance. When shipping 100 items a day, the total time we save in not having to check the boxes on these options is critical and valuable. We have several profiles based on different variables.
Another feature we find of significant value is that ShippingEasy identifies the type of destination, i.e., residential versus commercial. This feature allows us to see the exact cost of shipping a particular order because it takes into account the additional fees when shipping to residencies.
