Supply automation with ShippingEasy
Regardless of plan level, all ShippingEasy accounts have the option to add Shipping Presets and Shipping Rules. Shipping Rules provide you with automation options, so your orders can have certain services automatically added, and shipping presets are visible on your Ready to Ship page or Orders page, so they’re easy to select.
Shipping Presets
Shipping Presets are shortcuts to your most commonly used carrier services and packaging, and you can select up to 10 presets to appear on a list shown on your Ready to Ship and Order pages. You can also have both domestic and international packaging saved. To create a shipping preset, you’ll go to Settings – Shipping Presets – New Preset.
Shipping presets save you time by adding your favorite options to a drop-down list, meaning you don’t have to manually input them with each and every order. Some examples of presets might include presets for USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes, USPS Priority Mail Regional Rate A or Rate B boxes, or Priority Mail packages.
Shipping Rules
Shipping Rules consist of if/then statements that work to apply different options to your orders. For example, say you would like all of your orders from your Shopify store to be shipped using a specific carrier service they qualify for. You could make a shipping rule where the if statement has your store selected, and the then statement would be to make a certain shipping preset the default shipping options. Some commonly used shipping rules include using your store to assign specific packing slip templates or carrier services to your orders.
