New FedEx Shipping Features in ShippingEasy

New FedEx features are available in ShippingEasy to give you even more shipping options within one platform. These services include extended support for FedEx Ground® Economy, the introduction of FedEx One Rate®, and much more. With new updates come more ways for ShippingEasy to help you scale your business, save money, and centralize your entire shipping process. FedEx One Rate®

A simple, flat-rate service, offered by FedEx for packages that weigh under 50 pounds. Weight and measurement of packages is not needed to produce a label.

FedEx Ground® Economy

For customers that used the preexisting FedEx Ground Economy functionality in ShippingEasy, you know it is an efficient and cost-effective way of shipping lightweight packages to anywhere in the United States. This service uses a combination of FedEx and USPS to deliver lightweight packages quickly to the destination at a lower cost in 2-7 days.

If you don’t already have access to FedEx Ground® Economy, an additional agreement with FedEx is required to ship packages via the Ground Economy services. This can be obtained by contacting your FedEx account manager.

Here are the new FedEx Ground® Economy (formerly SmartPost®) services now available in ShippingEasy:

FedEx SmartPost® Media: General packages, such as books, DVDs, CDs and videotapes are now eligible.
Weight limitations apply: maximum of 70 pounds. Size limitations apply: sum of length plus girth (girth = 2 x height + 2 x width) cannot exceed 130″. Minimum 6″(L) x 4″(W) x 1″(H).

FedEx SmartPost® Bound Printed Matter: Any permanently bound matter, catalogs or directories used for promotional purposes.
Weight limitations apply: up to 15 pounds. Size limitations apply: Sum of length plus girth (girth = 2 x height + 2 x width) cannot exceed 84″. Minimum 6″(L) x 4″(W) x 1″(H).

FedEx SmartPost® parcel select: Small Parcel Select shippers are able to use the SmartPost® network to ship packages.
Weight limitations apply: Items must weigh between 1-70 pounds. Size limitations apply: Sum of length plus girth (girth = 2 x height + 2 x width) cannot exceed 130″. Minimum 6″(L) x 4″(W” x 1″(H).

FedEx SmartPost® parcel select lightweight: Formerly Presorted Standard Mail, processing services for small Parcel Select are able to use the SmartPost® network.
Weight limitations: Items must weight under 1 pound. Size limitations apply: Sum of length plus girth (girth = 2 x height + 2 x width) cannot exceed 84″. Minimum 6″(L) x 4″(W) x 1″(H).

FedEx SmartPost® Bill Third Party: Third Party Billing enables the sender to choose a FedEx account to bill the SmartPost® postage charges to other than their own. Surcharges may apply – please contact your FedEx representative for full details.

Freight Services

An exciting addition is the support of domestic and international freight services. This includes labels printed for pallets, crates, and barrels directly within ShippingEasy. Now you can centralize fulfillment with ShippingEasy to cover all your shipping needs for domestic and international freight.

Subject to weight and dimension requirements. Shipments must be greater than 150 pounds up to 2200 pounds. Height maximum of 70″ OR length maximum of 119″ OR width maximum of 80″. Freight shipments must meet the weight and dimension requirements. Both weight and dimensions are required when shipping.

Domestic

FedEx 1Day® Freight: Next business day delivery commitment by 10:30 am in the U.S. and by 5:00 pm in Canada for packages meeting freight requirements (Minimum 151 lbs. and appropriate dimensions).

FedEx 2Day® Freight: US domestic service offering a second-business-day delivery commitment by 12:00 p.m. for packages meeting freight requirements (Minimum 151 lbs. and appropriate dimensions).

FedEx 3Day® Freight: US domestic service offering delivery commitment within three business days by 3:00 p.m. for packages meeting freight requirements (Minimum 151 lbs. and appropriate dimensions).

International

FedEx International Economy®: International service offering delivery within 4 to 5 business days. International Economy service has been expanded to Puerto Rico, Intra-Asia and Asia Pacific Outbound. To ensure delivery, the Destination Control Statement (DCS) is required to accompany all International Economy shipments from the U.S. to their final destination abroad. The DCS must be entered on the invoice as well as the Bill of Lading, Air Waybill or other export control documents, such as the Commercial Invoice, label packing slip or Certificate of Origin.

FedEx International Priority®: International service offering a delivery time of 1 to 3 business days. The Destination Control Statement (DCS) must accompany all International Priority shipments from the U.S. to their final destination abroad. The DCS must be entered on the invoice and Bill of Lading, Air Waybill or other export control documents, such as the Commercial Invoice, label packing slip or Certificate of Origin.

FedEx Envelope

ShippingEasy now supports additional services when using the FedEx envelope. The maximum weight allowed is 17.6 oz. This package type is used for documents with a max volume of 60 pages (8.25″ x 11.75″, 21 x 29.7 cm). These new services include: International First Class, International Priority, and International Economy.
