Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is coming July 11. It’s a day full of flash sales and lightning deals. So…what is keeping you from doing your own version? Afraid you’ll just get washed over by the noise from Amazon and Amazon sellers? Think again! As it turns out, customers expect other retailers to follow Amazon’s lead.

“In a broader sense, Prime Day encourages people to shop online,” says Mayukh Dass, an associate professor of marketing in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. “Customers will focus on products on the Amazon website, but not all products are attractive. This may push customers to check out other retailers.”

This encouraging fact means you should be prepared to participate in #PrimeDay in your own way. One thing to note: avoid making your messaging an opposition to Amazon. That is where you’ll lose. Think more along the lines of “all ships rise with the tide” and take advantage of the inevitable spillover of people excitedly shopping online.

With all this in mind, we’ve put together a quick checklist to help you steer your efforts this weekend in preparation for one of the biggest online shopping days of the year.

Once you’ve picked up new customers and rewarded current ones, you’ll want to maintain those relationships to keep creating repeat customers. That’s where ShippingEasy’s Customer Marketing platform comes in! Take it for a spin with a free demo to learn how you can keep customers coming back for more all throughout the year!
